		<title>McNabb Middle School&#8211;8th Grade Champs!</title>

		<description><![CDATA[<p><p>The McNabb Middle School Indians Baseball team from Montgomery County won the 2013 Bluegrass Conference Middle School Baseball Tournament at Lykins Park on May 16, 2013.  They were also the 2013 Regular Season Champions with a Conference record of 7-2.  The Bluegrass Conference consists of teams from Scott Middle, Georgetown Middle, Royal Springs, Elkhorn, Bourbon County, Clark Middle, Conkwright, Powell Co, and McNabb Middle.  This marked the first Conference Championship in the history of McNabb Baseball.  Baseball was adopted an official school sport in 2006.  Head Coach John Vice has been at the helm since the 2007 season.  Assistant coaches are Gene Nornhold, John Toy, and Chris Cobb.  McNabb Baseball would like to thank Bumblebee Marketing for assisting us with our uniforms, coach’s attire and equipment needs over the last 7 years.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p><p>Travis Gaines, a senior at Dunbar High School, recently injured his neck while attending a baseball tournament in Destin, FL.  Travis misjudged the depth of water, diving into a sandbar.  Suffering from a fractured neck, Travis is still currently recovering in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Travis and his family.  We wish him a speedy and full recovery. Travis recently signed on to play baseball at Centre College.</p>
<p>Travis and his family have numerous supporters. Recently, his teammates showed their love and support by wearing his jersey at their game. Bumblebee Team Sports was happy to be able to produce these for the team.</p>

<p>A:  Married (Debra), two children (Alyssa (20) and Ashley (15)), graduate of Talawanda High School in Oxford Ohio (1979) and Transylvania University (1983) with a double major in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. I received my Masters from UK in Mathematics. Born in Lexington on Nov. 22, 1961 and lived there until we moved to Oxford, Ohio in 1968. Enrolled at Transylvania University to play basketball from 1979-1983 and accepted a teaching/coaching job at Woodford County in 1983. This is my 30th year coaching girls basketball at WCHS and WCMS. I also, coached baseball for 28 years.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p><p> A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to talk with Brent Thompson, Head Football Coach of North Hardin.  I hope you enjoy learning more about him!</p>
<p>Q:  Tell us about yourself.  </p>
<p>A: I have been married for 14 years.  I have 4 children- a 19 year old daughter that attends Sullivan University for culinary arts, and four year old triplets- 2 boys and one girl.  My wife is a nurse at a local hospital.  I graduated from Elizabethtown High in 1993.  I went on to Campbellsville University and graduated in 1998 with a BS in Business Administration.  I coached as a GA in 1997 at Campbellsville.</p>
